We are business people, entrepreneurs and visionaries here to build more life-giving organizations

STORY

CBI was founded in 2005 by former software entrepreneur and venture capitalist, Peter Matthies. Assessing hundreds of companies, Peter realized that our world will be faced with fundamental changes, and that existing leadership and success models were not designed to meet these challenges. To succeed in the future, we needed a new consciousness – a new thinking for the way we conduct business and define progress.

Today, the CBI family is made up of individuals who have personally experienced the same challenges many businesses struggle with. Everyone on our team has faced life-changing situations – from corporate burnout, to personal stress and anxiety, to financial fears, to life-and-death situations. Along the way, we have encountered people and possibilities that fundamentally challenged our view of the world, and opened up new opportunities that we previously didn’t think were possible. As we share our insights and approaches, our clients, too, experience access to a completely new level of possibility and advancement. For more than 14 years, our programs have helped organizations from 1 to 150,000 employees improve the way they operate and succeed in a changing world.

'Why' - There's an enormous opportunity for businesses to take the lead

We are faced with increasing complexity and challenges that are coming at us globally, impacting us professionally, and touching us personally. Business – the most powerful institution in the world – has a  unique position to become true agents of change for a better way to work and live.

They can lead with how (and why) they operate, aware of the influence they have on the mental and emotional health of their people.  People who are not only employees, but also colleagues, husbands, moms, daughters, neighbors, and friends. People who not just bring their body to work, but also their heart and soul.

'Why' - the enormous opportunity for businesses who take the lead

We are faced with increasing complexity and challenges that are coming at us globally, impacting us professionally, and touching us personally. Businesses can become true agents of change and bring us to a better way.  They can lead with how (and why) they operate, and with the influence they have on the mental and emotional health of their people.  People who are not only ourselves, but also our colleagues, husbands, moms, daughters, neighbors, and friends. People who not just work in an office, but live outside of one too.
